While the major exhibition Saints, Sinners, Lovers and Fools: Three Hundred Years of Flemish Masterworks continues its run until October 20 – and, already, it’s been seen by over 50,000 people – the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) is preparing a host of offerings for this fall, including an opportunity to see more than 100 works that have recently entered the Museum’s collection.

LSM: How did you become interested in opera? VT: Music and opera are at the heart of my life. With my Italian origins, opera is a family affair! It was my father who introduced me to it. I learned piano, dance and singing, but today the voice remains the instrument that fascinates me most. My two babies naturally became the Atelier lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal and the Canadian Vocal Arts Institute.
