Join Apocryphonia to celebrate Charles Villiers Stanford’s 100th anniversary and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s 150th with songs and choruses of lovers, fighters, punks and drunks at the pub. Highlights include the Canadian Premiere of Stanford’s epic choral ballad Phaudrig Crohoore, about a tough Irishman and his lost love, plus choruses from Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Sir John in Love, songs by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and cheeky works by Henry Purcell.
