Conductor Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser is back for another musical party at Southam Hall featuring steelpan soloists in this brand-new concert series celebrating the history of Afro-Caribbean calypso music.

Your eyes and ears do not deceive you – come witness the enticing sounds of steelpan drums at the NAC. Take a musical journey to Trinidad and Tobago, the heart and homeland of calypso music, with conductor and NACO Creative Partner Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser in this co-commission with the NAC Orchestra and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra!

Maestro Bartholomew-Poyser leads the NAC Orchestra and guest steelpan soloists through a rhythmic evening that will leave you rapt and ready to dance.

If you were lucky enough to be with us in Southam Hall for Reggae Roots in 2023, you know that this will be one Caribbean party you cannot miss. Let the music transport you to a place of warm sunshine and salty ocean breezes as we say farewell to February.
