On the eve of the inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as president and vice president of the United States, Yannick Nézet-Séguin has written a letter calling for greater support of the arts and culture sector.
“…I ask that you consider appointing a cabinet level champion dedicated to arts and culture,” the conductor says. “In order to progress, to elevate the arts, we need a voice at that table that will be heard.”
