
On Oct. 18, tenor Josh Lovell will be the only Canadian to compete in this year’s Operalia competition, which takes place at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. The Victoria native is no stranger to the historic Russian theatre, having recently made his debut there as Count Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia a few weeks before everything shut down in February 2020.
