Reaching out to young people

Puzzle danse seeks to raise young people’s awareness of the expressive possibilities of the body in movement, the playfulness of dance and its magic. How does it work? By using movement sequences as inspiration to invent dances to record and broadcast, through a profile to be created on the game’s website.

Three artistic teams—led by Ismaël Mouaraki, Alexandra Landé and Helen Simard—follow the deposit of the videos and offer advice to the participants. Activity kits are available online, to inspire young people to learn more about the art of dance and improve their choreography. It’s also possible to book workshops on the site. The next generation of dancers is on the move.

Concession rate

To give more people the opportunity to discover contemporary dance, Danse Danse introduces—for the 2023-24 season—the Concession rate, at $25 per ticket. The initiative targets anyone wishing to attend a Danse Danse performance, but unable to afford regular-price tickets. Concession-rate tickets are available in all sections of the halls, for almost every show of the season.
