L’ENFANT ET LES SORTILEGES – L’ATELIER D’OPÉRA AND THE MONTREAL UNIVERSITY ORCHESTRA IN CONCERT – On February 23, 24 and 25, l’Atelier d’opéra and the University of Montreal Orchestra will join together for a special concert. As musical program, the music of Ravel will be perform with the opera L’enfant et les sortileges (The Child and the Spells), and the orchestra Shéhérazade and La Valse. As musical direction, the guest chief Alain Trudel, well know for his experience for leading opera, will replace Jean-François Rivet who is actually in sabbatical year. Significant compositions of the modern music repertory, L’enfant et les sortilege stay actual and revealing, showing by his story the evolution of the new relationship of men to the objets and his world across the XXe century. 7 :30PM.
